To get to the mall on Wednesday, we made like real Alexandrians and took the tram. We are currently staying at the girls’ dorm of the University of Alexandria, and there is a tram stop right by our building. For 25 piastres, or a nickel, we traveled about 20 minutes to the mall. Comparatively a taxi to the mall would cost about 7LE or a bit more than a dollar, so about 35 cents per person.
